6 Home Remedies to control Diabetes

Diabetes is a genetic as well as a lifestyle problem in which the blood sugar level is too much high in a human body. Here are some natural and Ayurvedic home remedies to help you keep your sugar levels in control completely. POWERFUL NATURAL HOME REMEDY TO MANAGE DIABETES

1. BITTER GOURD OR KARELA

Bitter gourd or karela have the ability to reduce the increase in sugar levels. It is rich in plant insulin-polypeptide-P. Bitter gourd also contains two very essential components called charatin and momordicin, which are the key to lowering one’s blood sugar levels.

How to use:

  1. Consume karela once a week however as a subzi or in a curry.
  2. Slice the bitter gourd and offcut away the flesh to remove the seeds. Add the sliced vegetable to a blender and made juice. Drink one little glass of this juice on empty stomach every morning.

2. FENUGREEK

  Fenugreek is a commonly used thing in Indian kitchen with many benefits.  It helps to control diabetes, improve glucose level, lower blood sugar levels and restoring the secretion of glucose-dependent insulin.

How to use:

  1. Soak 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in water whole night and drink this water along with the seeds in the morning in an empty stomach daily to bring down your glucose level.
  2. Take fenugreek seed powder daily with hot or cold water in morning and evening.

3. MANGO LEAVES

Fresh mango leaves are an effectual home remedy to treat diabetes.

How to use:

  1. Wash and dry in sun this mango leaves and grind them to powder. Take this powder with water in the morning and night daily.
  2. Boil some mango leaves in a glass of water and leave it to cool whole night. Drink the water in the morning with an empty stomach.

4. INDIAN GOOSEBERRY OR AMLA

Indian gooseberry is one of the richest sources of vitamin C and helps your pancreas to build optimum so that your blood glucose levels remain balanced.

How to use:

  1. Throw out the seeds and grind two or three amlas into a fine paste and taking out its juice. Mix this juice (approximately taking two tablespoons) in a cup of water and drink it every morning with an empty stomach.
  2. Mix a cup of bitter gourd juice and 1 tablespoon of Amla juice and drink it daily.

Take raw Amla every day

5. SUNLIGHT

In a few recent years, researchers have found low Vitamin D levels to insulin resistance and diabetes. Studies found that Vitamin D plays a special role in the production of insulin in the body. The lower the level of your vitamin D, the more chances to developed diabetes.

What to do:

  1. Taking to 30 minutes of daily sunlight to avoid Vitamin D deficiency.
  2. Include Vitamin D rich foods in your daily taking food such as orange juice, soya milk, cheese and cereals.

6. WATER

For diabetes people, the risk of dehydration is greater. Your blood glucose is higher and the more fluids you should drink. So thirst is one of the main symptoms of diabetes.

How to use:                               

Consume 3 to 4 litres of water a day.
